The meeting of John and Jay was completely random. One day, John was sitting at the SDSU theatre department Benches, waiting for a class to start, engrossed in a conversation about his favorite films with a fellow student. Mid-way through the conversation, a young Filipino man sat down on the bench across from them. This young man opened his laptop and upon over hearing the energetic conversation chimed in with, "Hey, you guys wanna see a movie I made?" John approached hesitantly, unsure whether this young man was going to show him a genuine film or a stag film that he starred in. To his great surprise, the film was a genuine film; moreover, it was a fantastic martial arts short called "Match Made in Spring Valley." Since that day, John has been a dedicated crew member of Jabronie Pictures and even stars in his own series entitled, "Johnnyboy".
